By Rosalind Russell – Rick Duffney of Silverwater on Manitoulin Island is planning a Canada Day party for a great cause.
He says one of his best friends, Gary Crawford, has leukemia and to help him out with costs not covered by any program, he is hosting a Live Music & Ribs Party on Kemp Lake Side Road in Silverwater.
He says there will be a $10 entry fee, barbecue, and camping will be available on site.
Duffney says there will be a karaoke, but jammers are also invited to attend and be part of the gathering.
He adds the festivities start at 12 noon and donations are appreciated.
