By Rosalind Russell – Canada will send in Armed Forces planes to help citizens escape the war in Israel.
Foreign Affairs Minister Melanie Joly says in the coming days Canadians looking to flee will be evacuated with the help of aircraft from the Canadian Armed Forces.
The decision comes after calls from the Opposition to help Canadians stuck in the country crippled by war ever since the terrorist organization Hamas unleashed its deadliest attacks in decades at a music festival in Israel over the weekend sparking fighting and retaliation from Israel.
At least two Canadians are dead, and another is believed to be a hostage of Hamas while other Canadians cannot get out of the country because of the fighting.
