By Rosalind Russell – A Code Grey is in affect at hospitals across the north-east including Espanola, Elliot Lake and Sudbury facilities.
Officials at the Elliot Lake hospital say the Code Grey follows a breach of the regional electronic medical record system yesterday morning.
The release sent yesterday said the downed system impacts all areas of patient care and as a result, all services are experiencing significant delays.
The facilities are also urging anyone to only come to the hospital if they are experiencing a medical emergency.
Officials are working with the region to resolve the issue and will provide updates as soon as more information is available.
