By Rosalind Russell – Community Living Espanola is hosting a walk today as part of the ParticipACTION Challenge.
The month-long challenge is winding down across the country with Espanola in 16th place in Canada.
The public is invited to join the walk starting at 10:30 at The Oval adjacent to the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
That national challenge can net a community a $100,000 cash prize to use towards local healthy activities and athletic programs.
Several North Shore communities are also taking part including Elliot Lake, which sits in 8th place provincially.
The challenge wraps on June 30th with the winner announced shortly thereafter.
