By Rosalind Russell – Espanola’s latest retail business is opening its doors today.
The Dollar Tree located in Espanola’s downtown opens its doors at nine am Thursday morning.
Up to 28 new jobs have been created with most of the hires being former employees of the Domtar Mill, which moved to idle status last fall.
The new business is considered a boon to the town, which is beginning the process of promoting itself as a centre for shopping for the thousands of motorists who travel Highway Six via the town, the only road access to Manitoulin Island.
