E.H.S. Students Make Donation to Food Bank

For the first three weeks of December, over 50 students at E.H.S were involved in various activities and initiatives involving collecting food and raising funds for our local Food Bank. On December 10th, students and staff canvassed homes in Espanola, Nairn, Sagamok, and Massey. The final tally was over $1,400.  Class completions were held, assemblies were organized to organize food donations! In total over 1,100 items were collected and delivered to the Helping Hand Food Bank. Mrs. Sheppard’s  “Stingers” came first: Mrs. Greenough’s “Holly Jolly Historians” came second and Ms. Harvey’s “Holiday Heroes” came third. Kudos go to the Student  Parliament and the Transition class and staff for their help.

Talk about a great combined effort by all. Your contributions are truly appreciated by the Food Bank  Executive and volunteers. A true Spartan achievement!!!
