By Rosalind Russell – Elliot Lake council has accepted a tender for new lights for the baseball fields.
The winning tender includes the design, supply and installation of baseball lights using steel poles in the amount of $349,921 by Brant Municipal Enterprise Incorporated with labour bringing the project to $432,000.
The systems have a warranty of 25 years and a life expectancy of 60 years.
Council agreed to accept the bid with the funds be drawn from the Buildings and Facilities Reserve with the project completed by this fall.
