By Rosalind Russell – The Ministry of Environment has issued a final rating of 100 per cent for the City of Elliot Lake.
The city’s Assistant Director of Public Works, Bart Doyle provided the drinking water system evaluation report at the Public Services Committee meeting held last week.
He says the information and the rating demonstrates the continued investment in the city’s infrastructure.
He says the annual inspection took place in mid Dec., and covers the 2024 calendar year, which also highlighted the 33 adverse water quality reports related to water main and service line repairs, new installations and how the city acted quickly and decisively in solving the challenges.
Doyle adds the rating was a team effort in the ongoing effort to maintain the city’s hard services and infrastructure and thanked them for their hard work.
