By Rosalind Russell – An Elliot Lake tween is practicing hard these days preparing for a prestigious international dance competition in the Czech Republic.
As the largest dance competition for children in the world, with over 9,500 dancers from over 54 countries attending, 12-year-old Charlotte Parsons is staying focused as she prepares to compete at the Dance World Cup in Prague.
A member of DanceWorks she attended the Bedazzle Dance Competition in Collingwood in May where she was recognized by World Performers Canada for her tap dancing and then her hip-hop skills.
Parsons started dance when she was six years old and has been competing ever since with good success.
The event takes place June 27th to July 6th.
