By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Elk’s and The Moose 99.3 FM CJJM will host the 48th annual hamper fund once again this year.
Hamper fund chair, Gary Tennant, says the organization will be distributing Christmas dinners with all the fixings to families throughout the Espanola and North Shore corridor.
He says low-income individuals and families who want a hamper must attend in person on Thursday, November 28th, Friday, November 29th and Saturday, November 30th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. to register.
He adds on the Saturday, Elk members and The Moose will be at the Espanola Mall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to collect donations for the hampers.
Tennant says the hampers are delivered just before Christmas with 174 hampers distributed last year.
He adds any musicians who would like to provide entertainment are asked to give him a call.
