Espanola Elks launch Honour Wall Campaign

By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Elks has launched its Honour Wall Campaign.

Spokesperson Beth McVey says the idea was raised just over a year ago and now that arrangement for producing the plaques for the brick wall near the main entrance of the hall has been completed, the campaign officially launched yesterday.

She says the plaques will honour late, past, and present members of the Elks, and the former Royal Purple featuring their names, positions held, and years of service.

Sponsors and supporters over the years will also be acknowledged she says.

McVey adds there are almost 200 spaces available with the funds raised going towards ongoing projects within the organization.

She adds they will host a soft unveiling within the next few months with a more formal gathering set for September.

For more information and or to order a plaque, call Beth McVey at 705-869-8653 or Angela Houle at 705-869-7994. Plaques are approximately one inch by three inches in size. Eye level plaques are available for $100 plus HST, upper and lower levels for $75 plus HST.
