Espanola High Green Team featured nationally in magazine 

By Rosalind Russell – Espanola High School’s Eco Green Team is getting some national attention for its ecological efforts. 

The high school is considered a Platinum level eco school, and a boost from a national publication, the Canadian Teacher Magazine, will help it maintain that status. 

The green team introduced a composting program into the cafeteria kitchen a couple of years ago using a variety of activities and producing ‘foodilizer’ for anyone who wants some for their gardens or animal feed. 

The effort paid off and the article highlights the success of the program.
