Espanola High School alumnus Mike Cywink unveils his biggest mural yet

By Rosalind Russell – Former Espanola High School alumnus Mike Cywink has just unveiled his biggest mural yet.

Cywink, who calls Whitefish River First Nation home, now lives in London and travels to different schools and facilities producing original murals of Indigenous art.

He says his latest project, a 36 by 16 foot mural is now a fixture at Wilfred Laurier University in Waterloo.

He adds this one was extra special, working with youth and the Museum of Ontario Archeology.

Capping off the unveiling held last week, Cywink made his way home to sell prints at the Northern Game Expo held this past Sunday at the Caruso Club in Sudbury.
