Espanola Knights thank supporters …

By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Knight Cruisers Club made some presentations on Thursday evening to thank supporters of their annual Cruise-In car show, which saw marked success this year.

Espanola Mayor Doug Gervais was presented with a cheque for $500 for the Shelley Newton Memorial Fund as a thank-you for providing the venue at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex for the event.

“We, as a club, are so lucky to have the support of the Town of Espanola for our annual cruise in & craft fair,” states the release.

Appreciation plaques were presented to the Espanola Masons, the Espanola Elks, and North Shore Search & Rescue.

“We greatly appreciated working with these clubs to make this event so special. New this year was also the Espanola Fire Department and the Chariot Dragsters.

“And, special thanks to Roz from Moose FM CJJM 99.3 – Espanola, she never fails to get the word out and keeps everyone informed about all events happening in and around Espanola.”

The club states more donations will be given out to our local charities in the coming months and one lucky student will receive a bursary from the club. Meanwhile, you can find car enthusiasts every Thursday night at the Giant Tiger parking lot talking chrome and leather, and more.
