Espanola Lobsterfest set to go for 2023

By Rosalind Russell – One of Espanola’s most popular events will return after a short hiatus due to the pandemic.

Espanola Lobsterfest is returning to the Espanola Curling Club on Saturday, May 27th offering lobster and prime rib with proceeds going to a local cause.

This year organizers are giving back to the Espanola Curling Club to assist in replacing or refurbishing their curling stones next year.

The annual event is held to assist the local community and in the past supported various individuals, the Espanola Nursing Home Therapeutic Garden, and the Espanola Curling Club.

Ticket prices did go up to match the unfortunate rise in food prices. Ticket prices will now be $75 for a pound and a half lobster meal or a full slab of prime rib and $100 for surf and turf. You can find tickets at the Beer Store, Garnet’s Rentals and at the Customer Service Desk of Espanola Home Hardware. They can also be bought online at: https://espanolalobsterfest.ticketspice.com/espanola…

This year’s entertainment includes local bluegrass band – Avery Drive, the spectacular guitar riffs and vocals from Johnny Rock   and Sudbury rising stars – Pop Machine.
