Espanola PRIDE receives supports from council

By Rosalind Russell – PRIDE is receiving support from council. This will be the second year for the event which attracted over 600 people last year. Espanola council is continuing their support by waiving the fees associated with the track and field rental, as well as covering the insurance costs but turned down a donation of $1,000 for the event. The event is set for June 21st with an outdoor movie night for children, and June 22nd for a full day of family activities, vendors and displays by local agencies capped off with a comedy night. With the approval, the organizing committee will begin to firm up the various activities for the weekend.
