Espanola October 8, 2024 –Espanola Regional Hospital Foundation, along with our partner RBC were excited to host the 2nd Annual Foundation Classic, a fundraising event aimed at supporting the Acute Care and Emergency Departments with a new Cardiac Monitoring System. The event took place on September 14, 2024, at Espanola Golf & Country Club, offering a day of golf, camaraderie, and community spirit as participants came together for a great cause.
A Day of Fun for a Serious Cause
Building on the success of last year’s event, this year’s Foundation Classic promised to be even bigger and better. Golf enthusiasts, philanthropists, and local businesses joined forces to raise vital funds to purchase essential equipment ensuring Espanola Regional Hospital can continue to deliver quality care to patients in need.
Terri Noble, Foundation Development Coordinator said, “The Foundation Classic is a great opportunity for the community to come together for a day of fun, while making a real difference in the lives of our patients. Last year’s event raised $30,000, and this year we surpassed that milestone with a grand total of $49,264. Our goal for the Cardiac Monitor campaign is $400,000 and this is an amazing start. You make an impact by supporting our fundraisers. Watch for the Tim Hortons Holiday Smile Cookie Campaign & our Annual Radio-thon.”
Participants enjoyed a full day of activities, including an 18-hole golf tournament, skill contests, exclusive raffles, and silent auctions, with all proceeds going directly to the Cardiac Monitoring System Campaign. There was an opportunity to win $10,000 with a hole in one and prizes were awarded for longest drive, most honest and of course the champions! We are so grateful to our donors and corporate sponsors.
