By Rosalind Russell – An Espanola woman has formed the Neuro Ninjas team to raise funds for a cure for epilepsy.
Teri-Anne Leclair says her 17-year-old son Bailey was rushed by ambulance to the hospital after having a seizure at a daycare when he was six years old.
Although he had other seizures over the years, she says Bailey was not officially diagnosed with epilepsy until this May.
Teri-Anne says Epilepsy Canada has been a crucial support in providing the family with information and ongoing support, so now they are giving back by having the team walk 100 kilometres from October 1st to 31st.
