Five graduating students from Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon were recently awarded the Gaétan-Gervais Scholarship by the Association canadienne-française de l’Ontario (ACFO) du grand Sudbury. This award, presented to a graduating student from each participating secondary school in the District of Sudbury as well as Collège Boréal, recognizes the contribution of these students to the development and promotion of the Franco-Ontarian community. The winners were presented a certificate, a Franco-Ontarian flag and a $100 bursary at each school’s graduation ceremony.
This year, the following five Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon students were awarded the Gaétan-Gervais Bursary:
Camryn Ramsay, École secondaire catholique La Renaissance (Espanola)
Kloley Koko, Collège Notre-Dame (Sudbury)
Nadia Guillemette, École secondaire du Sacré-Cœur (Sudbury)
Katia St-Jean, École secondaire catholique Champlain (Chelmsford)
Amélie Lachance, École secondaire catholique l’Horizon (Val Caron)
By awarding this bursary, the ACFO of Greater Sudbury wishes to highlight the contribution of these young people to the development and promotion of the region’s Franco-Ontarian community. The bursary also recognizes young champions who have demonstrated the Franco-Ontarian spirit.
