By Rosalind Russell – Environment Canada has issues a freezing rain advisory recommending motorists not to travel if not necessary.
Schools are closed and transportation cancelled In Espanola, Massey and throughout the Manitoulin and Sudbury Districts.
With all schools closed, parents are reminded school daycares are also closed.
Due to the freezing rain and icy road conditions, all school related transportation is cancelled today for the North Shore Area including Iron Bridge, Blind River, Elliot Lake and Spanish.
However, schools remain open in the Algoma District and it is parents’ responsibility to drop them off and pick their children up at the end of the school day.
