
By Rosalind Russell – If you go to the pump to fill up, you could see a decrease in the price of fuel, with the federal government’s consumer carbon tax removed.
Head of Petroleum analysis with gasbuddy dot com, Patrick DeHaan says drivers could potentially see prices drop by 17 cents a litre for gas and 23 cents a litre for diesel.
But he says it is important to remember the price of gas and oil never moves because of just one reason.
Around Espanola, Tuesday evening, prices were as low as $1.48 a litre at all stations while in Elliot Lake, some pricing was as low as $1.34 a litre and around $1.39 at some stations on Manitoulin Island.
