By Rosalind Russell – Residents and businesses on the municipal water system in Gore Bay will be under a planned boil water advisory.
All users of the Gore Bay water system will have no water from this Thursday, May 30th at 10 pm to Friday around noon according to Michael Lalonde with the municipal office.
He says the overnight shutdown is to complete major portions of a watermain project, so potable water will be available at the local water treatment plant for those who bring their own containers.
He adds residents are encouraged to prepare for the shutdown, and bottled water will be available for special circumstances.
Lalonde adds a notice has been distributed door-to-door by staff adding the boil water advisory will be in place until the town receives the all-clear from Public Health Sudbury & Districts.
