By Rosalind Russell – FedNor has announced funding to assist more than 100 businesses and create over 325 jobs in the Manitoulin, LaCloche and Espanola areas.
Last Friday in Mindemoya, Nickel Belt MPP Marc Serré, announced $1.6 million in FedNor funding for the local region for a five-year period.
He says the funding will enable the not-for-profit Community Futures Development Corporation to offer community and business support services and access to capital for businesses throughout the region.
LaCloche and Manitoulin Business Assistance Corporation Executive Director Carolyn Cambell says the commitment speaks volumes to their record of success in fostering new business starts and growth for established businesses.
