By Rosalind Russell – Elliot Lake Mayor Andrew Wannan was pleased to take part in a ribbon-cutting for a new business focusing on wellness yesterday.
Wannan joined owner Nadia Carriere in cutting the ribbon to celebrate the grand opening of Uniting Movement & Yoga located at 126 Ontario Avenue.
He says it is wonderful to see the new business in the city to help increase the health and well-being of the community at large.
Carriere says they have classes for everyone of all abilities ages and body types adding there are physical and mental health benefits with yoga.
She is also a certified instructor so there are training opportunities available.
