Huron Shore councillor resigns

By Rosalind Russell – The Municipality of Huron Shores says one of its councillors has resigned.

According to the release, Ward One Councillor Roger Mulligan has tendered his resignation, effective this past Monday, January 13th.

The Clerk’s Office received formal notice of this decision on the same date.

In accordance with the Municipal Act, 2001, council will officially declare the council seat vacant during its meeting this evening.

Following this declaration, the process to fill the vacancy will proceed as outlined by provincial regulations.

Municipal staff also extended their gratitude to Councillor Mulligan for his contributions to the municipality during his tenure and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.
