By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Lions Club made a visit to the Massey Area Museum last week to present a cheque for their ongoing operation.
Lions’ spokesperson Grant Lewis says there are 13 rooms at the Museum, each featuring an aspect of local history from a bedroom to a kitchen to a corner store with many of the display items donated by local families and groups from across the North Shore.
He says the club is happy to present a cheque for $4,625 to the museum to ensure it continues recording and preserving the history of the North Shore Corridor.
Lewis adds the funds were part of the profits from their Catch the Ace fundraiser held in late summer.
