McHappy Day being held across Canada

By Rosalind Russell – Having a place to call home when a child is receiving medical assistance is the focus of McDonald’s biggest day of the year, McHappy Day.

Franchises across Canada will donate a portion of every meal purchased today towards the campaign to help build and maintain Ronald McDonald Houses located close to major children’s hospitals, including CHEO in Ottawa and Toronto Sick Kids.

The Moose will be on location from 10 am to noon in both Espanola and Elliot Lake.

More than $5.7 million has been raised so far and the public is invited to come down, make a purchase or a donation, to add to that total.
