Mindemoya Health Centre celebrates culmination of major campaign

By Rosalind Russell – The board of directors, fundraising committee and senior team of the Manitoulin Health Centre will meet with hospital advocates and supporters today to mark the completion of a four-year-campaign to renovate and expand its Mindemoya Emergency Department

The board announced the Let’s Emerg Together Campaign for the project in the Spring of 2019 with the goal of raising $2.5-million dollars.

That goal was reached this January and today is a day of celebration with guided tours of the expansion area and acknowledgement of all the contributors who brought the project to fruition.

MPPs Mike Mantha, France Gelinas, MP Carol Hughes, along with First Nation and local community leaders are among the invited guests.

The dedication is set to take place at two pm.
