National accolades for Cambrian College member

By Rosalind Russell – The accolades continue to pour in for a faculty member at Cambrian College.

Laura Killam has been chosen as one of ten 3M National Teaching Fellowship recipients from across Canada.

Officials say the Fellowship honours exceptional contributions to teaching and learning at the post-secondary level.

Killam, who also teaches at Nipissing University, says receiving the fellowship is a career highlight.

She was also named a recipient of the Early Career Research Awards from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and chosen for the non-tenured Excellence in Nursing Education Award by the Canadian Association of Schools of Nursing in November.
