By Rosalind Russell – Algoma Community Foundation has appointed Desiree Gravel as the new Executive Director bringing a blend of leadership, strategic vision, and community engagement to the role.
Gravel says from a long history of experiencing mental health and addictions in places dear to my heart, she chose a career to support participants and teams as they navigated those challenges personally, and systemically.
She adds as the new executive director of foundation, she hopes to foster meaningful connections between donors and impactful local causes, ensuring the foundation continues as a conduit for social change.
In addition to Gravel, the board has also welcomed four new board members in the last year, including Ani Ramos, Tova Arbus, Katie Campbell, and Quinn Meawasige.
