New recreation membership fee structure approved by Espanola council

By Rosalind Russell – Espanola council has given its approval to changing the membership structure for access to the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.

Bailey Bouwmeester, Manager of Community and Recreation, says prices have been adjusted but users will be getting more bang for the buck.

He says instead of purchasing a membership to one area of the recreation centre, memberships will now be based on one fee for access to the gym, the pool, and the courts.

He says specific classes, such as swimming or Aqua Fit, still have their own registration fees over and above an overall membership.

Now that council has approved the new membership structure, fees will be adjusted accordingly and will be posted on the town’s website at www.espanola.ca Photo: A new membership fee structure is being put in place at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
