By Rosalind Russell – The Municipality of Huron Shores is putting rumours to rest about a possible amalgamation with the Town of Thessalon.
Huron Shores council has released a public statement stating there are no plans to amalgamate.
Council states no discussions on the subject have taken place, nor is it something either Council is considering at this time.
Counil adds the municipality is committed to serving the community independently while they continue to explore opportunities for collaboration on shared services and efficiencies where it makes sense.
