By Rosalind Russell – The Township of the North Shore Fire Department battled hotspots yesterday.
Fire Chief Matt Simon says a residence on Riverview Road on the west side of the Serpent River was totally engulfed in flames on Tuesday afternoon.
He says the home was vacant at the time and the cause is still unknown.
He adds he has spoken to the property owner and the home is a total loss.
Simon also extends a thank you to the Cutler and Blind River fire departments who assisted at the scene.
He says the investigation is ongoing.
