By Rosalind Russell – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has released the game schedule for its upcoming 2004 Showcase, which goes October 1-2 at the Gerry McCrory Countryside Sports Complex in Sudbury.
Commissioner Robert Mazzuca says the two-day event will feature all 12 NOJHL member clubs, including the Espanola Paper Kings, Elliot Lake Viking and Blind River Beavers, with the results of each contest counting towards the overall league standings.
He says each team will play once per day, where they will serve as the home side on one occasion, and the visiting squad in the other.
Mazzuca adds it is also a great scouting opportunity for the league and its top-notch players.
