Two of three local Junior A teams are heading to the playoffs.
The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League has finalized its West Division semifinal series schedule between the Blind River Beavers and Espanola Paper Kings.
The series kicks off next Thursday, March 21st and runs until the end of the month.
Should the best-of-seven series go to the last game, the final matchup would be held on Sunday, March 31st in Espanola.
Meanwhile, the French River Rapids responded from an early hole and rallied to defeat the Paper Kings 6-5 in a Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League encounter last night at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex.
The Elliot Lake Vikings did not make the playoffs and ended their season last weekend.
