By Rosalind Russell – The Northern Ontario Angels – a group that links private investors with northern businesses – is getting 1.8 million dollars in FedNor funding.
The money will support over 100 businesses across the region, including Sudbury.
Officials say it will stimulate investment opportunities and help businesses expand and modernize.
FedNor says the three-year project is anticipated to result in 750 new jobs and over $13 million invested in northern companies by 2027.
Among other things, plans include the development of an Indigenous business strategy, increased support for life sciences and mining innovation companies, and more.
