By Rosalind Russell – The Emergency Department at the Thessalon Site of the North Shore Health Network must temporarily shut down due to a shortage of doctors.
According to the release, the Thessalon site will be temporarily closing for 24 hours starting at 8:00 am this Saturday and reopening the following morning at 8:00 am.
Ambulances will be re-routed to one of the following: the Blind River Site, Richards Landing-Matthews Site or Sault Area Hospital.
Anyone requiring immediate medical attention should call 9-1-1.
