Ontario investing $25,000 for Espanola’s Age-Friendly Community Action Plan

By Rosalind Russell – The Ontario government is investing $25,000 in Espanola for an Inclusive Community Grant to develop an Age-Friendly Community Action Plan.

Seniors and Accessibility Minister, Raymond Cho says the plan will help to identify changes and upgrades that can be made to build a more accessible community.

Espanola Mayor Douglas Gervais says the town is a true gem of Northeastern Ontario, providing the ideal rural lifestyle while featuring the full range of services that seniors and young families rely on.

He adds the town is excited to be creating a plan that will assist in refining the approach to making Espanola an ideal retirement destination.
