By Rosalind Russell – Pickleball players not only got to participate in the First Annual North Shore Invitational Pickleball Tournament, but they also got to help a local food bank.
Last Wednesday, a $500 cheque was presented to the Blind River Food Bank from the Blind River Pickleball Club, funds that were raised through the tournament held in July.
Sixty-four pickleball players from area clubs gathered in Blind River for the event.
The Blind River Pickleball executive thanks all the participants for their generosity, as well as local merchants and sponsors RBCDS – Cloutier Wealth Management Team and the Royal Bank.
