Police continue to search for missing teenager with ties to Espanola

By Rosalind Russell – Twelve years later, the search for a missing teenager with strong ties to Espanola continues with a $50,000 reward now being offered for information.

On September 16th, 2013, Meagan Pilon, who was well known in Espanola and Sudbury, was reported missing to the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

She was last observed entering her residence on September 12, 2013.

Investigators believe she left her residence during the early hours the next day.

At the time of her disappearance, Pilon was 15 years old, 5’10” (178 cm) tall with a slim build, brown hair and hazel eyes, a circular scar on her right cheek and a bunny tattoo on her left shoulder blade.

Foul play is suspected in her disappearance, but despite extensive searches, Pilon has not been found.

The Ontario government is now offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for the disappearance of the teen.

The investigation continues.
