By Rosalind Russell – Today the Moose 94.1 FM – CKNR in Elliot Lake is assisting the Elliot Lake Emergency Food Bank by hosting a radiothon from 8am to 2pm.
The focus of the fundraiser is to help ensure that no kids in our community will be going hungry when they return to school next month.
President of the Elliot Lake foodbank Len Kutchaw and Mayor Andrew Wannan will also be joining morning show host Ty Demerah on the air.
Donations of school snacks, other food items and cash can be dropped off at the radio studio (144 Ontario Avenue, or at No Frills or Foodland grocery stores.
The food bank at 29 Columbia Walk will also be accepting donations.
