By Rosalind Russell – The Espanola Timberwolves are hosting registrations tonight at the Espanola Regional Recreation Complex for the new Challenger Baseball team
Joseph Dixon says Challenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program for children and youth aged five to 18 with physical and cognitive disabilities.
He says 11 athletes and three buddies signed up earlier this week.
He hopes to have more buddies, that is,, individuals who will assist players on the team, come forward, and volunteer.
Dixon says the goal is to provide an inclusive, fun, and supportive environment where everyone gets to play, develop skills, build friendships, and experience the magic of baseball.
Registration is from 5 p.m. to eight p.m. this evening.
