Residential fire in Webbwood – no injuries

Sables-Spanish Rivers Township’s Fire Department was called out to structure fire involving a shed in Webbwood.
Department public information officer, Tiffany Goodchild, says on Thursday morning around 3 am, the department called in mutual aid from the Baldwin Fire Department to the fire where firefighters were worked to prevent it from spreading to the house.
Goodchild says they were unsuccessful, but there was minimal damage to the home.
She adds the occupants involved were able to safely evacuate the house before it spread and there were no injuries.
She adds the cause of the fire is still under investigation by the department.
