Second Annual PRIDE Day attracts hundreds

By Rosalind Russell – Rain did not deter hundreds of people coming in and taking part in the Second Annual PRIDE Day held in Espanola on Saturday.

The Family Day featured Espanola Mayor Doug Gervais formally opening the day’s activities, which included booths promoting local businesses, services and sponsors, bouncy castles and more, a barbecue hosted by the Lions Club, vendors and the Friends of the Family Library hosting Story Hour and crafts corner.

The event had to be moved inside due to the rain, but that did not dampen the spirits of those who took in the family gathering.

The organizing committee extends a huge thank you to everyone who supported or took part in the annual gathering.
