Special Olympics motorcycle rally set to go

By Rosalind Russell – Plans for the Seventh Annual Motorcycle Rally for Special Olympics are set.

The annual event starts out in Sudbury with an average of 100 motorcyclists taking part in the ride to Little Current on Manitoulin Island.

Donations are collected to go towards Special Olympic groups in the Sudbury and Manitoulin Island area.

The funds will be of great assistance this year since some Manitoulin Special Olympians will be going to Calgary Winter Special Olympics Games as part of Team Ontario.

Matt Bedard will be competing in snowshoeing and one of the curling teams will take part in the Games next February 27th to March 2nd.
