By Rosalind Russell – The Stuff the Cruiser campaign was a resounding success in Espanola despite the rain.
Manitoulin OPP Constable Jessica Gilbertson says the police teamed up with North Shore Search and Rescue and FreshCo to host the campaign last Friday afternoon.
She says despite the heavy rain, the donations were steady with the partners filling not one, but two cruisers with food and receiving monetary donations.
Gilbertson adds after the collection, the food and donations were split between the food banks in Espanola and Sagamok-Anishinabek First Nation.
