By Rosalind Russell – A former nurse from Espanola is being honoured as part of the National Ride for Mental Health, which will be held next week.
Dan Draper and Bubba’s Team will be participating in the National Ride for Mental Health on Saturday, August 24th in Sudbury.
He says the ride supports veterans and first responders and this year will be in memory of the late Jamie Lloyd, Bubba as he was called, who passed away in December of 2018.
Draper says Bubba who was a long-time nurse at Health Sciences North, the Manitoulin Health Centre and Espanola Regional Hospital and Health Centre also took part in the ride before he lost his battle with cancer.
