By Rosalind Russell – Muscular Dystrophy Canada is the big winner of the 5th Annual ATV Mud Run hosted by the Espanola Volunteer Firefighters and their supporters.

Held last month, the annual ride sold out with over 300 adventurers taking to the muddy trails capped off with an evening of feasting and awards.

Trevor McVey, who began the event five years ago, says $16, 200 was raised this year with all the proceeds going to the organization to fund ongoing research and provide supports to those who need it.

The organizers released the numbers yesterday and are already beginning the work on hosting another successful event in 2024.
