The Scotties come to Manitoulin

By Rosalind Russell – Two major curling events are being held on Manitoulin Island this weekend.

Play got underway yesterday for both men’s and ladies’ curling.

The 2024 Northern Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Northern Ontario women’s curling championship, started yesterday and runs until the 28th at the NEMI Recreation Complex in Little Current.

The winning ladies’ rink will represent Northern Ontario at the 2024 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Canada’s national women’s curling championship in Calgary, Alberta.

The event is being held in conjunction with the 2024 Northern Ontario Men’s Provincial Curling Championship.
