Township of North Shore councillors found in breach by Integrity Commissioner


By Rosalind Russell – Township of the North Shore Integrity Commissioner Tony Fleming released his reports last night focusing on three council members.

Fleming, of the legal firm, Cunningham Swan Carty Little & Bonham, says Richard Welburn and Tracey Simon were guilty of breaches under the Code of Conduct, but Mayor Tony Moor was not.

Council accepted his findings and both Welburn and Simon were ordered to lose 15 days pay.

Both also publicly apologized and asked their loss of renumeration go to charity and recreation.

Council also agreed to release the reports on the official website and provide copies upon request.

The reports date back to July 4th with the specific allegations and findings available on the township’s official page.
